"Rivets" creatively honors the legacy of WWII and Golden Era aircraft from the 1940s and ’50s by the idea of upcycling decommissioned plane materials into distinctive art pieces, blending historical preservation with environmental consciousness. This work embodies a thoughtful reflection on repurposing disused objects, giving new meaning to forgotten histories through innovative craftsmanship. It is also a tribute to my father, who introduced me to flying, a pilot and pioneer in many ways, a historian at heart, an advocate for renewable energies.
